The delair® DB-LD (low dew point) compressed air dryer is the standard heat regenerated air dryer for a pressure dewpoint better than -70°C (-100°F). For this type of dryer regeneration is accomplished by using ambient air, which is heated by an externally mounted heater and then passed in co-current direction through the off stream bed, to desorb water vapor from the desiccant. To reach the original adsorption capacity of the desiccant, it must be cooled down to near the temperature of the fluid to be dried. To avoid introducing any water, cooling will be carried out in a closed loop instead of by ambient air. The DB-LD compressed air dryer has all the features and benefits of the DB compressed air dryer.
